GoDaddy Conclusion

GoDaddy’s overall star rating was 20 out of 25 stars. They scored high for Email Creation for offering unlimited image hosting. While they do not offer an autoresponder and their reports do not accurately reflect user actions, we found their Customer Support to be very helpful. They also scored well on Email Deliverability for their spam checker.

Constant Contact review GoDaddy: Email Creation

GoDaddy received 5 out of 5 stars for Email Creation. They offer unlimited image hosting, which is above the Industry Benchmark of 5 to 10 MB. They also allow you to edit the images that you import. They offer 150 flexible templates that enable you to edit and replace the images on the template and allow for up to three columns of text. GoDaddy offers a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor that enables you to easily edit your email campaign while seeing what it will look like to your readers.  The editor allows you to drag and drop both images and content blocks into the email. GoDaddy integrates with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and MySpace.

Constant Contact review GoDaddy: Contact Management

GoDaddy received 4 out of 5 stars for Contact Management. In order to import contacts from Excel, Outlook, or Salesforce into GoDaddy, you must create a CSV version of the file and then import that file into the system. You cannot import contacts from other email accounts. We found their contact management to be very easy, as they even include an autoresponder. Autoresponders allow you to send a standard welcome message to your new subscribers confirming their sign-up. GoDaddy automatically removes unsubscribes and bounces from your contact list.

Constant Contact review GoDaddy: Email Deliverability

GoDaddy received 4 out of 5 stars for Email Deliverability. One hundred percent of the emails that were supposed to get through our test made were delivered successfully. They offer a spam checking tool that searches for words and phrases that might not make it through a spam filter. They do not allow you to re-edit the email once it’s been scheduled to send without having to cancel the send. When scheduling for immediate delivery, it only takes about one minute for the email to send.

Constant Contact review GoDaddy: Analyzing Reports

GoDaddy received 2 out of 5 stars for Analyzing Reports. Their reports show opens, number of clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes. They do not show forwards, top performing links, or spam reports. We found the reports to not accurately reflect our action in that they did not correctly report bounces on bad email addresses we intentionally put in our test. Reports are displayed in graphs and can be exported into a spreadsheet, but you cannot receive a report in an email. You can also export a “clean” list of active subscribers into a spreadsheet in order to eliminate extraneous contacts from your records. With GoDaddy, you cannot create A/B test campaigns that allow you to test out specific demographics to determine how to get more readers to open your emails. Reports do not integrate with Google Analytics.

Constant Contact review GoDaddy: Customer Support

GoDaddy received 5 out of 5 stars for Customer Support. They offer 24/7 phone support as well as email support. We found their customer support to be very helpful with short wait times. They offer text and video tutorials in addition to a FAQ section.

Constant Contact review GoDaddy: Pricing

GoDaddy does not offer a free trial period. Their pricing is contact based and they charge $9.99 per month for 500 contacts, $12.99 for 2500 contacts, and $19.99 for 10,000 contacts.
