Constant Contact is a well-known email marketing brand name that is "best practices"-oriented. Constant Contact scores high on email creation, contact management, deliverability and customer support. Although they are the only provider to have industry benchmarks against which you can measure the performance of your campaign, the reporting interface lacks some features that many of the other services offer.we found the reports to be lacking several features compared with those of other email marketing services.

Pros
- Survey email templates included at no additional cost
- WYSIWIG/point-and-click editor
- Multiple options for importing contacts, including QuickImport tool for Microsoft Outlook
- Active monitoring by iContact team of your outgoing email content for spam triggers
- Thorough tutorials
- 100% deliverability according to our test
Cons
- 500 kb of image hosting space (approximately 8 images)
- Fee to remove iContact logo from outbound emails (10% monthly premium)
- No A/B testing
- Exported reports contain limited data
Conclusion
iContact has a very straightforward email editor that makes creating a simple mass email relatively easy. They also include survey email templates, which allow you to poll customers, for free. However, limited image hosting and the expense associated with removing the iContact brand from your emails detract from your ability to create a fully customized email. They also do not offer A/B testing, which some consumers find useful when preparing an email campaign for a large contact list.

Pros
- 700+ email templates, including survey templates at no additional charge

- Scheduled Auto-Responder
- Downloadable CSV template that simplifies importing contacts
- 99% deliverability guarantee
- 100% deliverability according to our test
Cons
- No free image hosting
- Difficult list segmentation
- Limited statistical reporting
Conclusion
MyNewsletterBuilder offers unique, easy-to-use email creation and contact management tools, as well as an above-average number of email templates. However, their overall lack of reporting functionality (for example, only being able see statistics on those who opened your emails) in your exported reports keeps them from being a top tier email marketing software provider.

Cons
- Only 14 templates
- No A/B testing
- No Live Chat support
Conclusion
StreamSend is a great option for consumers who are new to email marketing. StreamSend's step-by-step process for creating an email makes it simple and easy to create a marketing campaign with little to no previous experience. Although creating an email campaign with StreamSend is easy, they do lack some of our market standard features seen in other email marketing companies such as A/B testing and a simple process for removing bounced email addresses.

Pros
- 450 templates in 20 categories
- 1 MB image hosting space
- Import contacts from CSV or TXT file
- 100% deliverability according to our test
Cons
- Cannot cut & paste multiple contacts and difficult to add manually
- Reports exported as zip file
- No A/B testing
- No FAQ
- Cost to remove the Campaigner logo from your outgoing emails
Conclusion
Campaigner offers a market standard number of templates and hosting space for email campaign creation. However, it performs poorly in contact management and report analysis. Campaigner offers a great value if you're looking for an email marketing service that offers a variety of email templates and a moderate amount of hosting space. Offering over 400 email templates and 1MB of image hosting space, Campaigner gives you choices and flexibility in email creation. Unfortunately, Campaigner has shortfalls in reporting and uploading contacts, which make these processes somewhat time-consuming.

- Limited email support availability (M-F 9a-5p EST)
- No phone support
Conclusion
MailChimp is a stylish and relatively new email marketing service, which offers some great advantages, but which also contains significant flaws. Although MailChimp offers unparalleled email creation flexibility, a superior contact management system and reliable email deliverability, they have inaccurate reporting and poor customer support.
