Campaigner Conclusion
Campaigner received 21 out of 25 stars. They scored well in Email Creation for their large amount of customizable email templates. While they do not allow you to create an A/B campaign and do not have Google Analytics integration, Campaigner’s Customer Support received high marks for their 24/7 availability and knowledgeable customer service representatives.
Campaigner received 5 out of 5 stars for email creation. They offer 10 MB of image hosting space which meets our Industry Benchmark, and they do allow you to crop and edit any of your own images. They offer 529 email templates that are easy and flexible to use, allowing you to edit and replace the images on the template as well as have multiple columns. Campaigner provides a WYSIWYG editor, which enables you to edit your email and show you how it will look to your readers. You can also drag and drop both images and content blocks while creating your email. One feature they lack is the option to remove their logo from your email campaign for the smaller packages, which appears at the bottom left corner. However, they offer integration with social networking sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. They also offer a mobile application for iPhone users.
Campaigner received 4 out of 5 stars for Contact Management. Contacts can be imported through Excel and Outlook as a CSV file, as well as Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo. We found their contact management to be very easy to use. Campaigner offers an autoresponder and will automatically remove unsubscribes and bounces. Campaigner also has an important Contact Management feature, an autoresponder, which allows you to send a standard message to your new subscribers based on a specified activity, such as signing up for your newsletter.
For email deliverability, Campaigner received 3 out of 5 stars. One hundred percent of the emails got through our test, but they do not have a spam checking tool. You cannot edit an email that has been scheduled to send without having to cancel the send. When choosing to send an email immediately, it only takes about two minutes for it to send.
Campaigner received 4 out of 5 stars for Analyzing Reports. The reports display the number of opens, bounces, spam reports, and unsubscribes but do not display the number of forwards, clicks, or the top performing links. According to our test, their reports accurately reflect user actions, catching both bounces and unsubscribes. Reports can be displayed by receiving them through an email, in a graph, or exporting them into a spreadsheet. The provider does not allow you to export a clean list. You can only create an A/B campaign with their Enterprise plan, and reports do not integrate with Google Analytics.
Campaigner received 5 out of 5 stars for customer support. Campaigner offers 24/7 phone, email, and live chat support. We found their customer support to be very helpful as they were able to answer all our questions thoroughly and had no wait time. They also provide text and video tutorials and an FAQ section.
Campaigner offers a 30-day free trial which includes up to 1000 contacts. Their pricing is contact based and is $10 for 1000 contacts per month and $25 for 2500 contacts, among other pricing plans. Contact based pricing allows you to send unlimited emails to all of the email addresses in your contact list, while email based pricing allows you send a certain number of emails per month. Contact based pricing, which is what Campaigner offers, is advantageous if you intend to send more than one email per month to the same list of contacts. Otherwise, the different pricing structures should not make a difference.
