Business-to-business email marketing allows you to directly email other businesses, such as vendors, suppliers, large customers. Whereas most email marketing services focus on helping you foster a relationship with your customers, there are services that focus strictly on B2B email marketing or those businesses that need to send email campaigns to larger lists that have more than 1000 participants.
While Email Marketing Options focuses mostly on the companies geared towards beginners who need to email fewer customers, such as a restaurant wanting to send coupons to its list of 500 subscribers, there are several services that can help those with a big list or are interested in B2B email marketing.
Pinpointe is one of these services and is a great option for those needing to send at least 5000 emails a month. Because their service isn’t necessarily for those just starting out with email marketing, we decided to include them in their own space, but we have reviewed them just like any email marketing service on our site.
Pinpointe received 5 out of 5 stars for Email Creation. They offer unlimited image hosting space, which is much more than our Industry Benchmark of 5 to 10 MB. They allow you to edit your custom images and offer more than 125 flexible templates. The templates enable you to edit and replace images on the template and allow for up to two columns of text. Pinpointe offers a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor that enables you to easily edit your email campaign while seeing what it will look like to your readers. The editor allows you to drag and drop both images and content blocks into the email. You can also easily create surveys within their email marketing survey, and they offer dynamic content insertion, which allows you to personalize a section of your email message based on custom fields. Pinpointe integrates with both Facebook and Twitter.
Pinpointe received 4 out of 5 stars for Contact Management. In order to import contacts from Excel or anywhere else, you must you must first create a CSV version of the file and then import that file into the system. We found their contact management to be very easy to use, especially because they offer an autoresponder which allows you to send a standard welcome message to your new subscribers confirming their sign-up. They also allow for “trigger campaigns” that let you to create multiple sequences of email campaigns that are automatically sent and maximizing their autoresponder capability. Pinpointe automatically removes unsubscribes and bounces from your contact list.
Pinpointe received 4 out of 5 stars for Email Deliverability. One hundred percent of the emails that were supposed to get through our test made were delivered successfully. They offer a spam checking tool that searches for words and phrases that might not make it through a spam filter. When scheduling for immediate delivery, it only takes about a minute for the email to send.
Pinpointe received 4 out of 5 stars for Analyzing Reports. Their reports show opens, forwards, number of clicks, bounces, and unsubscribes. They do not show top performing links, and, even though spam reports are not included in their reports, they do notify you through their customer support if your email campaign is flagged as spam. We found the reports to accurately reflect our actions. Reports are displayed in graphs and can be exported into a spreadsheet, but you cannot receive a report in an email. You can also export a “clean” list of active subscribers into a spreadsheet in order to eliminate extraneous contacts from your records. With Pinpointe, you can create an A/B test campaign which allows you to test out specific demographics to determine how to get more readers to open your emails. Their reports also integrate with Google Analytics.
Pinpointe received 5 out of 5 stars for Customer Support. They offer phone and live chat support from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST Monday through Friday with 24/7 email support. We found their customer support to be very helpful with no wait time. Pinpointe also offers text and video tutorials, as well as a FAQ section.
